Shi’ites break into the National Assembly, force lawmakers to adjourn plenary

Federal lawmakers were today forced to adjourn plenary, as members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) broke into the premises of the National Assembly.
The IMN members were said to have overpowered security and broken down the first gate, before proceeding towards the second gate in protest against the continued detention of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
